What is the Gitnerblog?  Well, it’s a blog written by me, Jess Gitner.  I currently work as a Production Assistant at NPR and write for Autostraddle.com; I’m also proud to be part of the Patagonia retail family. I graduated from Georgetown University in 2009 with a B.A. in Political Economy and American Musical Culture.

Gitnerblog began as a travel blog while I studied at the London School of Economics, but it has since evolved to become an outlet for my writing: mostly personal observations of life as a young 20-something-year-old.

I am a fan of commuting via bike, rock climbing, public(ish) radio, podcasts, tech gadgets, and Scandinavia. In my spare time, you’ll find me cruising the blogosphere, writing songs, and enjoying a craft beer with friends.
