What is the Gitnerblog?  Well, it’s a blog written by me, Jess Gitner.  I am currently based out of Washington, DC, where I work as a Producer at NPR’s Morning Edition. I also produce and am a frequent guest panelist on Pop Culture Happy Hour, NPR’s entertainment and pop culture round-table podcast features spirited discussions of movies, books and television. I formerly wrote for Autostraddle.com and served as a member of the Patagonia retail family. I graduated from Georgetown University in 2009 with a B.A. in Political Economy and American Musical Culture.

Gitnerblog began as a travel blog while I studied at the London School of Economics, but it has since evolved to become an outlet for my writing: mostly personal observations of life as I stumble blindly into adulthood.

My interests include music, commuting via bike, gadgetry, public(ish) radio, craft beer, and Scandinavia.
